Not to appear to be outdone by the View 20 introduction from Huawei sub-brand Honor, Samsung also took the wraps off its first phone with a hole-punch camera cutout, the Galaxy A8s. However, the renders indicate Samsung will opt for a side-mounted fingerprint sensor in place of the in-display sensor.
After weeks of speculations, Samsung is finally ready to pull the wraps off Galaxy A8s, which is touted to herald a new design language for mobiles in the industry. The smartphone is set to come in Black (Green), Blue, and Silver colour options in China.
These are the other key specs: a 6.4-inch display with a 19.5:9 aspect ratio, 6GB to 8GB of RAM depending on the model you pick, and 128GB of storage to pack all those videos and songs you are not going to be able to listen to through a standard headphone jack. It is expected that there would be no notches but an O-shaped hole in the display for the camera! It will have a 6.3-inch FullHD+ display with a resolution of 1080 by 2340 pixels.
As said before the upcoming Galaxy A8s is a very special phone particularly in terms of the exterior design.
-The Galaxy A8s comes with a glossy finish body with Aluminum frame, which gives the phone a premium touch. The rear camera configuration of the Galaxy A8s is nearly similar to that of the Galaxy A9. The phone is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 710 processor.
The rear camera array will boast three snappers with a combination of normal, wide-angle and zoom that should deliver brilliant pics in most conditions. That camera has a 24MP main camera, 10MP ultra-wide-angle lens, and a 5MP depth sensor. As you can see, the camera array on the front face is in the top right corner.
