Conservative author Jerome Corsi, who has refused to sign a plea deal with special counsel Robert Mueller, on December 3 filed a "criminal and ethics complaint" against Mueller's team. The rebuke came after Trump said on Twitter his pal Roger Stone has "guts" for not wanting to testify against him.
"Those who said the president's warm and complimentary tweet constitutes witness tampering should be reminded that I have never been contacted by any investigative body and therefore, by definition, this can not be true", Stone told the Daily Caller's Saagar Enjeti.
President Trump took to Twitter on Monday to issue a remarkably unsubtle message to his campaign advisor Roger Stone: shut the f*ck up. Earlier, he fired at his former personal attorney Michael Cohen for taking a plea deal in the case.
It was revealed last week that Trump spoke more extensively during the presidential election with Cohen about the proposed Trump Tower project in Moscow than Cohen admitted to Congress past year, which Cohen said while pleading guilty Thursday in federal court to a charge from Mueller's office. Cohen earlier pleaded guilty to campaign finance fraud for his payments to Trump's alleged mistresses and testified that he and Trump continued to talk about Russian Federation business dealings throughout the campaign.
President Donald Trump's son Eric Trump accused conservative lawyer George Conway, husband to White House counselor Kellyanne Conway, of showing "utter disrespect" to her work with his frequent criticism of the President.
Conway, an attorney and outspoken critic of Trump, retweeted the president's social media post, writing: "File under '18 U.S.C §§ 1503, 1512.'" Conway was referencing Constitutional statutes for obstruction of justice and witness tampering.
"Robert Mueller... and his out of control band of Angry Democrats, don't want the truth, they only want lies".
