The announcement was made on Monday with the news that Mel B (Scary Spice), Melanie C (Sporty Spice), Emma Bunton (Baby Spice), and Geri Halliwell (Ginger Spice) will embark on a limited stadium tour in the United Kingdom next year.
The Spice Girls have announced their comeback today. The announcement had been built up throughout the day, and Victoria Beckham - although not taking part in the reunion - is very much supportive of her friend's going ahead without her.
The girl group will kick off the tour at Manchester's Etihad Stadium on 1 June 2019, with tickets for all dates going on sale on Saturday at 10.30 GMT.
The reunion has been a long time coming; the Spice Girls first teased a reunion in 2016 for the 20th anniversary of their first hit, "Wannabe".
In 1998, Halliwell walked out and the remaining members went their separate ways after releasing the album "Forever" in 2000.
"It's just the four of us that are fully confirmed, but you know, Vic might join us at some point", she told Britain's ITV.
'I hope so, it'll be a shame if she didn't [come to the shows],' she continued.
They added: 'Plus Victoria Beckham has a whole fashion empire, husband and 4 children to look after and she's filthy rich so she doesn't even need the money and the other Spice Girls don't really have that so they have more time on their hands to be running helter skelter doing their tour'.
Spice Girls previously reunited in 2012 to perform at the closing ceremony of the London Summer Olympics.
It is a decade since the world's biggest girl band toured.
Melanie Brown, Emma Burton, Geri Horner and Melanie Chisholm will reunite for what is anticipated to be a sell-out tour with the Stadium of Light selected as one the United Kingdom venues.
The official announcement, reportedly for United Kingdom and USA tour dates, is expected around 7 AM PT.
