Ariana Grande's new single "Thank U, Next" arrived by surprise on Saturday night - perfectly timed to the evening's episode of Saturday Night Live, which featured her ex-fiance Pete Davidson. However, at the end of his segment, he had some sweet words to say about his ex, and at one point, his voice even warbled discussing his split. "For somebody who claims to hate relevancy u sure love clinging to it huh", she wrote. In fact, she's feeling grateful.
Grande's song "Thank You, Next" included lyrics about Davidson. Rather than being the sassy high-ponytailed kiss-off the title might suggest, "thank u, next" has a honest message of gratitude. She talks about a Sean - she dated rapper Big Sean - and a Pete and Malcolm, which is the real first name of Miller.
Ariana Grande and Pete Davidson are keeping the peace.

But she then decided to make her gratitude balloon into a culturally-relevant balloon when she posted another pic of it, this time making it say "Thank You! next".
The song goes on to explain what she learned from each one: "One taught me love/One taught me patience/And one taught me pain/Now I'm so wonderful".
