If you've been itching to get the new iPhone but didn't like the prices of either the new iPhone XS or two-thousand dollar iPhone XS Max, Apple has another option coming, and coming quickly.
Apple's new iPhone XR has been available for pre-order for several hours and availability is still good.
You can pre-order from the Apple Online Store, and Apple authorised resellers and retailers like Switch, Machines, Epicentre and Senheng. The phone will be ready to ship next Friday. Granted, the iPhone XR is still relatively pricey, but it's a price that doesn't carry as much heft as its XS siblings.
In India, the iPhone XR is priced at Rs 76,900 for the 64GB variant, Rs 81,900 for the 256GB variant and Rs 91,900 for the 512GB variant. Despite there being only one camera on the rear, Apple is enabling the iPhone XR to mimic Portrait Mode photographs using image segmentation through a mix of camera and software technology. However, unlike the XS, the XR has a 6.1-inch LCD screen, it doesn't come with a 3D Touch or a secondary camera, or with a stainless steel frame.
In terms of features, the iPhone XR has a single-lens glass-backed design and is available in a bunch of colors including red, blue, copper and yellow.
The Apple iPhone XR has 64GB, 128GB and 256GB storage variants now priced at Rs 75,040, Rs 80,040 and Rs 90,040 respectively on the Airtel store.
Ooredoo has announced that all customers who pre-order and purchase the new iPhone XR from the company and subscribe to a new Shahry or Qatarna Plan will enjoy free data for 30 days. But Sam's Club has a new deal that will let you save $100 on your upcoming iPhone XR purchase in the form of a gift card.
Unsurprisingly, Australia's biggest telcos will have the latest release from one of the world's biggest phone manufacturers, as the iPhone XR heads to more than retail. T-Mobile isn't included in the offer, but if you were planning to buy your iPhone XR with either AT&T, Sprint, or Verizon, you should certainly consider Sam's Club offer.
