Unfortunately, even as the big prize for Tuesday night's drawing increases to the fourth-largest in US history, the odds of matching all six numbers and winning the game don't improve.
The winning numbers were 11, 14, 32, 43, and 65 with a Powerball of 15.
Feeling lucky? Then you may want to buy a Mega Millions ticket, as the multi-state lottery game approaches a record jackpot. One lucky victor, Ashley Eggen of Elizabethtown, Ky., took in $1 million during Friday's drawing for matching the five-ball numbers drawn, according to NBC.
Kansas Lottery players, like players everywhere, are talking about Mega Millions and making sure they have their tickets for the next drawing. The next Mega Millions drawing will be Tuesday.
The Powerball jackpot is at an estimated $345 million for Wednesday's drawing, with a cash option of $199 million. The odds of hitting the Powerball jackpot are 292,201,388 to 1.
The largest, which was worth just $2 million more, was drawn back in 2012.
And Friday's Mega Millions wasn't a complete bust.
Even though no one took home Friday's big prize, there were 2,651,183 winning tickets on the October 12 across all prize levels. More than a billion tickets were sold before that single drawing.
Three other Mega Millions jackpots have been won this year: $451 million on January 5 (Florida), $533 million on March 30 (New Jersey) and $142 million on May 4 (Ohio).
That's when the next Powerball drawing is. "Jackpot fever is definitely sweeping the country!"
