Aubameyang sealed Arsenal's comfortable victory with two of his own 12 minutes later, as he capitalised on Hector Bellerin's assist in the 79th minute.
"It was an important goal for Aaron [Ramsey] and an important goal for us".
Substitutes Aaron Ramsey and Pierre Emerick-Aubameyand scored three goals and assisted a further two between them - achieving a milestone.
"They are at a big level in the matches and every player wants to play".
With Ramsey also providing a superb through ball to set up Aubameyang's second - and Arsenal's fifth - his contribution to the win was huge, with all five of Arsenal's goals beautifully worked.
Although Emery has said he would like to keep Ramsey, who is Arsenal's longest serving player after joining in 2008, Arsenal are keen to keep their wage bill under control and look willing to allow the Welshman to leave on a free transfer, just as Jack Wilshere did during the close season.
Following the game, Keown appears to have criticised Ozil for missing the game and stated that Arsenal did not miss the ex-Germany worldwide. Today we are happy but we're going to continue going about our process with humility.
"We [have] won a lot of matches with the players, where they are not starting in the match but they are playing 20, 25 or 30 minutes and helping us".
To make matters worse for Fulham, as the clock headed into stoppage time, Ramsey played Aubameyang in behind the defence and the former Borussia Dortmund star took the ball into the box before drilling it across the keeper and into the bottom corner to put the cherry on top of the cake.
"For me it was very important for him to take confidence and take that first goal", said Emery.
