George Clooney was reportedly involved in an accident while riding a motorcycle in Italy.
Actor George Clooney was taken to the hospital in Sardinia and released after his motor scooter and a auto crashed on a state road on the Italian island Tuesday, hospital officials said.
Clooney was riding the scooter near Olbia when a auto cut across the actor's path at an intersection, resulting in a collision, Lt. Alberto Cicognani of the Carabinieri Italian military force said to NBC News.
The Oceans Eleven star was riding his bike at Costa Corallina when he collided with a auto.
The John Paul II hospital in Olbia said Clooney was released Tuesday.
"He is recovering at home and will be fine", a representative for Clooney told People.
Clooney was travelling to the set of his TV miniseries Catch-22 in Costa Corallina when his bike is understood to have hit a auto that "suddenly turned", Italian newspaper La Nuova reported. Calls and emails to Clooney's spokesman weren't immediately returned.
George plays US Air Force commander Scheisskopf in the World War Two Channel 4 drama, based on Joseph Heller's classic novel.
He has been staying at a lush, gated rental villa in the high-end Puntaldia neighbourhood on Sardinia's northeastern coast, which overlooks the Tyrrhenian Sea. He has a home on Lake Como and was married in Venice in 2014 to the British human rights lawyer Amal Clooney.
