La Repubblica put the breakdown as €5m in basic salary plus bonuses.
It will be Ancelotti's first job in Italian football since leaving AC Milan in 2009 after leading the club to a Scudetto and two Champions League titles.
There is also speculation that Ancelotti would ask for Bayern enforcer Arturo Vidal.
Ancelotti, 58, replaces Maurizio Sarri, who led the Italian club to a second-placed finish behind champions Juventus with 91 points.
But the club's film producer boss De Laurentiis lost patience with Sarri's indecision over his future.
Following Sunday's 2-1 home win over Crotone, Sarri said: "Everything in life ends and it is better to finish things after writing a attractive story". He returns nine years later to Serie A where he was named coach of the year in 2001 and 2004 at Milan, the club where he won eight championships.
Express Sport understands Sarri, now under contract at Napoli but with no official duties, has already rejected an offer to manage Zenit St Petersburg this summer.
FC Zenit Saint Petersburg are still in pole position to secure the services of Sarri but the Blues are monitoring the situation.
Di Marzio believes Chelsea will meet with Sarri's representatives in London, but the man himself will not be present.
