Tonight, clear and cool.
Expect sunny skies throughout the day but today will be cooler than yesterday with temperatures only climbing into the upper 60s to low 70s.
The 10-day forecast on our WBRC First Alert weather app shows skies clearing by Monday into Tuesday with another chance of rain by midweek next week. Canadian high pressure will then build across the region and will linger through late week. Some wind is expected throughout the day, peeking around 15 miles per hour.
We only look to warm up from there, with highs reaching the upper-80s Wednesday through Friday.
That strong area of high pressure will stick across the east coast, providing southwesterly winds and warmer air into the mountains. Much of the week will be dry, but the approach of a cold front Friday could result in some showers.
A few more clouds will be possible Saturday. Severe weather is not expected at this time. That will allow a return to reality in terms of our temperatures through next week.
The warming trend will continue on Tuesday, which will be sunny with a high of 78 and a low of 51.
WEDNESDAY - Sunny and Very Warm.
