KXIP vs KKR Live Score

Christopher Nolan and Tacita Dean have been raising awareness amongst the global film fraternity towards the cause of saving celluloid.

Dean opined: "Well, the idea is surely not about film versus digital, it is about film plus digital".

Christopher Nolan is regarded as one of the most influential filmmakers of the 21st century courtesy titles like Batman Begins, The Dark Knight, The Dark Knight Rises, Inception, Interstellar, and Dunkirk. But we live in an analogue world. I don't have a cell phone but I don't think that is relevant to my choice of medium, they are two different questions.

Nolan had watched Kamal's "Papanasam" and this was a sweet surprise for the Ulaganayagan. What does it even mean?

Speaking at this exclusive dinner party, host for the evening Sudhanshu Vats, Group CEO, Viacom18, said: "Films in India have traditionally been shot on celluloid, an art that is fast being replaced by digital filming". The word digital semantically means what? It's used to describe everything, and everything uses digital technology.

Nolan said his aim is to "empower filmmakers to view their choices of medium as one thing they have to fight for".

"There are odds that one faces in the process of filmmaking. financing the film, shooting the film. odds are there in it. It's all about a story that grabs me". On his take on Indian cinema, Nolan shares, "I have watched Indian cinema but not enough". I have enjoyed whatever I have seen. "My personal aim is that I want it to become normal to shoot on film".

A roundtable discussion is also planned with prominent personalities of the Indian film industry to be attended by Amitabh Bachchan, Shah Rukh Khan, Kamal Haasan, Shyam Benegal and others.

Dunkirk director arrived in India for a panel discussion on "The future of film in India" along with fellow panelists Tacita Dean and Shivendra Singh Dungarpur. On Friday, Christopher Nolan, who is in India with his wife Emma Thomas and children, kicked-off his Mumbai tour with a talk at the plaza of Dr. Bhau Daji Lad Museum in Mumbai.
