Each Tuesday in April will have Far Cry 5 live events, which will presumably be live events that will occur within the Far Cry 5 open world of Hope County. The jury is still out on whether the game will deliver an interesting story, but what we do know about the fast-approaching sequel tells us we're in for a typically insane experience.
Far Cry 5's map editor will let players rip assets straight out of Watch Dogs and Assassin's Creed 4: Black Flag and plonk them down in one of the game's Montana outposts. It's madcap, but not in a bad way.
All of those three expansions are included in Far Cry 5's Season Pass, which can be purchased with the main game or separately.
"Far Cry Arcade is also at the heart of Far Cry 5's PvP multiplayer, which we sampled in Beach Brawl, an 12-player team deathmatch map set on a surreal beach filled with shacks and ruins to hide in, and dominated by huge rusting cannons and very big Buddhist statues straight out of Kyrat".
You'll also be able to create playlists, play official creations, and engage in all-new modes.
Apart from those, more content will be added in six different updates with massive amounts being added whenever a Far Cry 5's DLC gets released.
The previous Far Cry games had players in foreign, usually third-world countries, attempting to bring down corrupt and violent gangs, sometimes with the help of a nearby tiger. Will you be playing this side of Far Cry 5? Like other maps, this one offered a creator-set selection of loadouts geared for stealth, sniping, or assault, and the ATVs and technical trucks at either end were a chance to pile in and rush the enemy team slightly more effectively than if we'd been on foot. Far Cry Arcade will be the first map editor in the franchise to enable players to create their own solo, co-op, and PvP levels.
And if all of that isn't enough for you, how about a free game?
Far Cry 5 is slated to launch on March 27 for PC, Xbox One, and PlayStation 4, with Xbox One X and PlayStation 4 Pro owners getting additional enhancements.
